April 26 webinar: SharePoint – What every librarian needs to know

Microsoft SharePoint is a flexible and powerful web application platform designed to give users access to a wide range of web applications without advanced knowledge of technical aspects of web development. Kathy Jordan-Baker will speak about how libraries can use SharePoint for information management, providing an introduction to the software and taking season SharePoint users’ “Stump the Chump” questions. Jordan-Baker has an MSLIS from Florida State University and an M. Ed. from National-Louis University, and currently works as a SharePoint 2007/2010 Administrator in the field of higher education.

Registration for SLA Members is $15, Non-members $25, student/unemployed: compliments of SLA Illinois.

  1. SLA member question: Which version of SharePoint?

    Presenter answer: We are on MOSS 2007 enterprise. I am currently in the process if upgrading/migrating to 2010…. I can speak to both during the presentation. I’ll address when there are similarities and differences.
